Respected sir/ma'am,

Through this letter, I wanted to convey my concern about the increasing amount of forest fires in the hilly areas of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

These forest fires have not just caused destruction and contributed to a polluted and unclean environment but also resulted into thousands of organisms losing their homes or even lives. If these incidents continue to rise, the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere will be horribly increased, harming the health of animals and humans. The residents of these states will be affected severely if appropriate actions are not taken. India is already one of the most polluted countries in the world.

Through the esteemed columns of your respected newspaper, I would like to draw the attention of the denizens towards these incidents taking place. Spreading awareness can be one of the key ways to decrease further accidents.

Thanking you

Yours faithfully

Tim
