Explanation:

Indeed Badminton played at medium-high levels uses only halls and feather shuttles. Unfortunately, badminton could have a difficult future because it lacks visibility outdoors and expensive.

Our federation had 2 problems to solve: small or no sports halls for junior schools and difficulty to play outdoors.

Our company proposed a project which was federation approved and is being introduced into junior schools and beach badminton championships starting up.

With one method and same rules, the 2 problems were resolved in a methodic manner understanding limitations during difficult weather conditions.

It was obvious it was mad to introduce adult courts in school halls with typical volleyball and basketball sizes such as 26m x 12m. Badminton not only created difficulties to let a class to play all together but when rackets break and improvised court lines get ruined, schools could not accept the costs and maintenence needed.

Our proposal was to use MINI COURTS and lower net height.

For schools one court size 8m x 4m was perfect for max 6 courts and 24 players. It should be noted badminton can be fun but stressful for young not yet fully formed bodies and badminton should be brought to juniors size.

For outdoors (beach badminton) is was decided 2 courts sizes 8m x 4m, 11m x 5,5m..this satisfy juniors but also teens and adults. This method reduces dramatically the % of wind area and with the net height lowered to 1.4m faster net play is used lowering high shots.

Most important now was to have shuttlecocks which travel less distances and rackets that don’t break. We fully satified this requirement engineering a multifunctional WIDE shuttlecock and a mix tube which contained all variables for play. In the tube we have a W5 which weighs about 5g used for hall and outdoors without any breeze. then W7 weighing 7g for fasi hall play and outdoors with minimal light breeze. For increased breeze a rubber ring included can be attached increasing weight to 9g. For difficult consitions W11 is used weighing 11g. We also have for W7 and W11 an internal led light with on/off system for night play. Of course, we use only high quality nylon because feathers are fragile and expensive.

The mini racket we use has squash strings and squash frame but is only 48.5 cm long but works fantastically…no breakages

All our work also includes a portable badminton court with all these articles.
