The balance in an ecosystem is where the sum of the actions of all members cancel each other out. For example, animals create carbon dioxide which is then turned back into oxygen by plants.

An ecosystem is balanced when natural animals & plants & non- living components are in harmony- I.e there is nothing to disturb the balance. With increasing pollution, change in migratory pattern, & rise of human population, many ecosystem are in danger of losing that harmony.
