Al + CuSO4 -----» Al2(SO4)3 + Cu

» L.H.S. R.H.S

Al = 1 Al = 2

Cu = 1 Cu = 1

S = 1 S = 3

O = 4 O = 12

__________________________

First balance aluminum and copper.

2Al + CuSO4 = Al2(SO4) + Cu

Now balance sulfur and oxygen.

2Al + 3CuSO4 = Al2(SO4)3 + Cu

But Copper is unbalanced

So balance it :

2Al + 3CuSO4 = Al2(SO4)3 + 3Cu
