Balanced chemical equations are written below-

(1) Aluminium carbide + water -> Aluminium hydroxide + Methane

Formula for aluminium carbide is Al4C

Formula for water is H2O

Formula for aluminium hydroxide is

Al(OH)3

Formula for methane is CH4

Al4C3 + 12H2O -> 4Al(OH)3 + 3CH4

(2) Iron Pyrites (FeS₂) + Oxygen -> Ferric Oxide + Sulphur dioxide

Formula for oxygen is O2

Formula for ferric oxide is 2

Fe2O3

Formula for sulphur dioxide is SO2

4FeS₂ + 11O2 -> 2Fe2O3 + 8SO2

(3) potassium permanganate + hydrochloric acid -> Potassium chloride + Manganese chloride + Chlorine + water

Formula for potassium permanganate is KMnO4

Formula for hydrochloric acid is HCl

Formula for potassium chloride is Lack

Formula for manganese chloride is MnCl2

Formula for chlorine gas is Cl2 2KMnO4 + 16HCl -> 2KCl + 2MnCl2 + 8H2O + 5Cl2
