Write down the elements :

Zinc = Zn

Silver nitrate = Ag(NO)₃

Zinc nitrate = Zn(NO₃)₂

Silver = Ag

Now write down the equation :

Zn +  Ag NO₃  ======>  Zn(NO₃)₂  +  Ag

Note that NO₃ radical needs 2 in the left hand side and hence Ag also needs 2 on the right.

Zn + 2 Ag NO₃  ======>  Zn(NO₃)₂  + 2 Ag

Now its balanced .

The balanced equation is :
