A balanced chemical equation means it has to satisfy two conditions:
1. Law of conservation of mass.
A balanced chemical equation must be balanced with respect to mass.
Mass of reactants = Mass of products
2. Law of conservation of energy:
A balanced chemical equation must also be balanced with respect to energy.
Energy of reactants = Energy of products.
If an equation satisfies the two above conditions then, it called a balanced chemical equation.
