Balanced chemical equation for lithium metal with nitrogen gas

Nitrogen should diffuse through the Li2CO3 and Li2O layers to react withlithium. The small amount of H2O mayreact with Li2CO3 and Li2O resulting in promotion of the diffusion of nitrogen gas through these layers. The conductivity of the obtained film was measured using the Li/Li3N/PEO18LiTFSI/Li3N/Li cell at 60 oC.
