Solution:

Money Barbara gave to shopkeeper = £10

Money used as Barbara got £1.60 back = £10 - £1.60 = £8.40

Barbara buys 3 boxes of eggs costing = 3 x £1.20 = £3.60

Barbara buys 1 jam costing = £1.80

Barbara buys 2 loaves of bread = Total money used - (Eggs cost + Jam cost)

                                                     = £8.40 - ( £3.60 + £1.80 )

                                                     = £8.40 - £5.40

                                                     = £3.00

Cost of 2 loaves of bread is = £3.00

Cost of 1 loaf of bread will be = £3.00 / 2 = £1.50
