CONCEPT

The ratio of sides of triangle when multiplied with a constant x is 180. Area of triangle = {s (s-a)(s-b)(s-c)}^1/2 where s is semi-perimeter, altitude is the perpendicular line or simply h and it's value is based on the value of b and the area, the total cost of levelling is 10× area.

ANSWER

Let X be the required constant for length of sides of triangle.

5x+3x+4x = 180

12x=180

X= 15 m

So the sides of triangle are as follows.

5×15 = 75m

3×15 = 45m

4×15 = 60m

S= 75+45+60/2 = 90m

i)Now by herons formula,

√(90)√(90-60)√(90-45)√(90-75) m^2

√90×30×45×15

√1822500

1350m^2

ii)We see the largest side = 75 m

1/2 × b × h = 1350

75 × altitude = 2700

altitude = h = 36 m

iii) cost = 10 × 1350

cost = 13500 rs
