Based on quantum numbers ,justify that the sixth period of the periodic table should have 32 elements.

For sixth period (n=6) of periodic table 6s,4f,5d and 6p orbitals are fully filled in the increasing order of the energy. Total 16 orbital are available each of which contain maximum 2electrons.

Thus 6th period can accommodate 6electron.
