JOURNEY BY TRAIN
I was travelling in a train — talks with an old man, once an engine driver — the old man (Ram Lal) revealed his secret — could not stop the train over the bridge — a youngman got killed — felt guilty — resigned.

I was travelling in a train to Mumbai.There was an old man sitting beside me.I started talking to him.His name was Ram Kal and he told me that he was once a train driver.I was very happy to know this and i told him to share some of his experiences with me.He shared with me lots of his experiences.He also told me one of his sad story in which he was driving a train as usual but as soon as he reached a bridge he saw a young man standing on the railway track.He tried to slow down the train but the brakes were not working.He tried to save the young man but unfortunately the train collided with the man and he was dead.The old man felt guilty and he resigned the job.....I was really sad by this story and felt very bad for the young man as well as the old man...

I was travelling in a train to Kolkata. I witnessed the presence of an old man , sitting besides me. As i am a very interactive person , i was tempted to converse with this gentleman. We introduced ourselves and were intended to talk more. I was informed by the old man whose name was Ram Kal that he was a former engine driver . Me, being a curious one, requested him to share his experiences about his career . He started with some funny and some amusing incidents which made me laugh my stomach out , but i ended up in tears as he revealed his secret. It was a fine day , and was driving a train with the fullest of confidence and happiness , until this fatal incident took place . When on his journey , he came across a bridge ,where he hadn't noticed the young man standing but when the train came closer to the man he was in a dilemma as he could not stop the train because of the high speed . And unfortunately the young man got killed which made Ram Kal guilty and blamed him for being careless .If he had noticed the man before , then a life would have been saved . He was so frustrated by his act that he ended up resigning his job.
