Based on the novel '' The Story Of My Life '' Helen's early life was not complete as she missed out on many things. being blind and deaf was one of the reasons she was unable to express her individual identity and express her feelings and communications. she needed someone to guide and teach her moral and human values and ways of communication .lacking a guide she was quite mischievous and naughty and didn't know how to behave to others and was very impatient and caused a lot of trouble in a fit of anger. that when her parents decided to contact the Perkins institution of blinds and welcomed miss Sullivan as her guide and a very important person in her life
