it is an ethanoic acid

shamma12: CH3COOH Is a weak acid and does not completely dissociated in aqueous solution. when it dissociates in aqueous solution it gives out CH3COO- and H3O+ ion. so it gives out only one H+ , hence its basicity is one . ... similar is the case with acetic acid , it is made of CH3COO having -1 charge and H having + 1 charge .
