you mean, battery acid is 4.27M H2SO4 and has density 1.25 what is the molality of H2SO4 in the solution ?
solution : molarity of H2SO4 = 4.27M
means, 4.27 mole of H2SO4 present in one litre of solution.
given, density of solution = 1.25 g/cm³
so, mass of solution = density × volume
= 1.25 g/cm³ × 1Litre
= 1.25g/cm³ × 1000 cm³
= 1250g
mole of solute (H2SO4) = 4.27
molar mass of solute = 98 g/mol
so, mass of solute = 4.27 × 98 g
= 418.46 g
so, mass of solvent = mass of solution - mass of solute
= 1250 - 418.46 = 831.54g
so, molality = number of mole of solute/mass of solvent in kg
= 4.27 × 1000/831.54
= 4270/831.54
= 5.135
