Dear Mr. Examinaer is an honest outpour of the emotions of a girl who is not prepared for the test and since she doesn't know any answer. After writing her name and date she doesn't know what to write, so she writes a lovely poem to the examiner in the form of an informal letter which leaves the reader with a question. A question about the utility of tests and if passing a test is the only sign of intelligence.
In her letter, she describes what other examinees are doing, like Mandy has written ten pages, but she fears it to be a frightful guff and Angela Smythe is copying answers from her cuff. Ms. Quinlan is sitting and checking homework. To the other people outside it's just an another day and she describes how housewives, grannies, unemployed people would be engaged in different things. In the end, she apologizes that the questions were fine, but she herself is to be blamed for not knowing the answer.
