Hi Mate !!

Let the present age of Son be x
and the present age of Father be y

• Before 15 years their age will be :-

Son's age :- ( x - 15 )
Father's age :- ( y - 15 )

• Before 15 years a mans age is thrice of his son's age

( y - 15 ) = 3 ( x - 15 )

y - 15 = 3x - 45

3x - y - 45 + 15 = 0

3x - y - 30 = 0 .... ( i )

• At present the age of man is twice that of his son.

y = 2x .... ( ii )

Putting value of y from ( ii ) in ( i )

3x - y - 30 = 0

3x - 2x - 30 = 0

x - 30 = 0

x = 30

Putting value of x in ( ii )

y = 2x

y = 2 × 30

y = 60

So, the present age of son is ( x ) :- 30 years
and the present age of Father is ( y ) :- 60 years.
