Before a cricket match, the officials wanted to check the distance of the boundary from the centre of the pitch, given that the groundnis circular in shape. The entire boundary length is 628m. Also find its area in m². Take π= 3.14.

\huge{\mathcal\pink{Solution:}}

Given,

The entire length of a cricket of radius r meters= 2 × π × r meters

Given perimeter of the ground= 628m

r= 628 ÷ (2 × π)

= 100m

The distance of the boundary from the centre of the pitch is 100m.

The area of a circle is π × (r)².

Area of the ground= π × (100)²

= 31400m²

The area of the ground is 31400m².
