Answer:

This was a form of discrimination since the natives were not involved in decision making.

Explanation:

  • Representation is key to having a peoples voice herd and their views listened to.
  • In the event of denial of access to vote, a people shall not have chosen a leader and the chosen leader should not make any leadership to those who were prevented from voting.
  • The bills that were passed did not have the natives approval since they were not represented.
  • The legislation made were discriminating by nature due to the lack of representation for the natives.
  • The natives were not allowed to vote on the basis of their nationality and by the fact that they were being oppressed by the colonial government.

Answer:

1) British never recognised that Indians are politically advanced

2) But for the pressure from various corner esp after 1857 they ware forced to include Indians in administration

3) Still then they offered voting rights they never recognized universal voting , They offered voting rights only based on some restricted criteria's - Explicitly divide and rule

4) Hence offering voting rights to certain minorities they divided indians very easily , Though the minority was given voting rights they cant establish their power absolutely, Because apart from voting rights, Governor general had absolute veto power to forbid anything passed by Indians

5) Conclusion : Its a racial discrimination based on western political domination which eventually created discrimination among Indians
