Explanation:
here is the meaning of onomatopia just in cause
noun: onomatopoeia
the formation of a word from a sound associated with what is named (e.g. cuckoo, sizzle ).
the use of onomatopoeia for literary effect.
Onomatopoeia is the process of creating a word that phonetically imitates, resembles, or suggests the sound that it describes. Such a word itself is also called an onomatopoeia. Common onomatopoeias include animal noises such as "oink", "meow", "roar" and "chirp".
so in this sentence the onomatopia is splash
Answer:
It suddenly grew dark and we heard a splash, I turned around hesitantly, my eyes fell on the dark shadow of a mysterious creature on the wall. I couldn't well make out who it was, but from the shadow I could tell that it something I wouldn't like to mess with, at least not right now, when I had no power to even crawl. I instructed my friend to very slowly go upstairs, bolt the door and pretend like nothing happened, but no. My over-enthusiastic friend had other plans, "Where do you think you're going, chuckle-head?", I whispered sharply, while she ignoring me like a door-knob, bent over to pick a bat."You're such a sissy-baby. You stay here and I'll go check which insect is scaring you to death.","It's not an insect, I'm telling you. Don't go, it's dangerous." I called behind her."Yes, of course!",she chuckled. After a few minutes I heard the words which were being uttered from the idiot's mouth,"You know, I think Mr. Clarke was right. Physics is so not your strong suit.",she laughed as she returned with what looked like a dragon-fly, while I stood there like a milquetoast.(Milquetoast is a north-american slang which means timid or a feeble person. It could be replaced with the words wuss, wimp, or a crybaby, though do note that wuss might be considered a bit offensive).
THE MORAL: Not everything we assume with the half-knowledge of a subject is true.
(Or any other statement that is related to the above one).
NOTE: The moral conveyed in the story might not be strong, as there was a certain word limit. The story is more of like related to a bit of humour and a in between the lines I tried to convey a hidden message. If the word limit could be exceeded the story can be a little more dramatic with some suspense bits here and there, which could make the story a bit more serious and could convey a simple a message in a much stronger way.
hope it helped.
