At first when Mrs. Slater told that yesterday grandfather has gone out to submit his insaurence premium then Ben appreciated him, but later when Victoria said that grandfather has not paid his premium then Ben changed his opinion and considered him a drunken old beggar.

Ben changes his opinion about grandfather and calls him a ‘drunken old beggar’ later because he realises that he has not paid his insurance premiums and so they will not get any benefit of money from his insurance
