let age of Henry and Bernard 6 yrs ago be h and b respectively
b=2h. . ........(1)
(b+6)=3(h+6)/2
b+6=3h/2+9
using (1)
2h+6=3h/2+9
h/2=9-6
h/2=3
h=6
b=12
their ages are 12yrs and 6yrs respectively.
