We tend to define this as “the bad part of town.” Integrity is very important on a college campus. College is a synonym for the word “freedom.” You live on your own, and the only people you answer to is the school or the police. So it is up to you to make the decisions that are right for your life. Because even more so in college, where you live with your friends, are there choices to be made every single day. And they all could effect your life. Without integrity on a college campus, you have anarchy, because there are very few consequences in most situations. If there is a huge party and somebody decides he wants to do something bad, usually it is impossible to tell who did it because it is a party and there are usually a lot of things going on.
Leading by example improves personal awareness, sensitivity to others and accountability which are all necessary for ethical behavior and integrity. Example: The company recently sent all staff an email about the importance of being at work on time and not cutting out early.
