Now area ABCD = AB.XY = AB.(PX + PY) AB.PX + BC.PY (∵AB = BC). Similarly area ABCD = AD.PW + BC.PZ. So AB.PX + BC.PY = AD.PW + BC.PZ →ΔAPB + ΔCPD = ΔADP + ΔBPC.
