When the wire is stretched,
1. its cross sectional area decreases.
2. its length increases.
Now, R is inversely proportional to the area of cross section.
So, The Resistance would become twice (×2).
Case : When area is halved, length becomes twice.
In this case, the overall resistance would remain same.
