rusting of iron is dependent upon two factors that is if the iron is exposed to air and the amount of humidity in air so rusting of iron will be faster because there is more humidity in air in coastal areas as compared to dry area which leads to the rusting of iron.
formula for rust is fe203.xh2o

john44: you can wirte first these pionts condition for rusting are moisture in the area and air

the conditions for the rusting of objects are moisture and oxygen which are readily available in huge amounts at the coast. hence, rusting of objects is faster near the coastal areas because there is more amount of moisture present near the coast compared to the dry land areas. thus, the rusting of objects will be faster at the coast than the dry land areas.
