Places lying on the same longitudes should ideally have same day and night duration.


However this is not so practically, due to the tilt in the earth's axis. as a result of this tilt, during march to September, locations in the northern part of a longitude have early dawns and late sunsets compared to locations in the southern part of the same longitude.


This situation is reversed from September to march.
