This answer can be highly Subjective.

I mean different sects can treat commentaries on Bhagavad Gita by their founder to be profound. A more objective answer could be possible if some particular event in which this question is asked could be provided.

For e.g Vivekanand also had given commentary about Bhagavad Gita in September 1893 in Parliament of World’s Religions in Chicago which had garnered quite much attention and could have made Bhagavad Gita look more significant

Paramahansa Yogananda whose book "The Autobiography of Yogi"  was much referred by Steve Jobs and was the  only book in his e book reader ; also had various mentions about Bhagavad Gita,

So if a proper context can be established it would be more easy to answer this one.
