Bhawana took a pale green substance A in a test tube and heated it over the flame of a burner. A brown coloured residue B was formed along with evolution of two gases with burning smell of sulphur. Identify A and B. Write the chemical reaction involved.

the substance A is ferrous sulphate  its colour is pale green . when we burn it

feso4 decomposes into ferric oxide and so2 and s03.

hence A= feso4
           B= fe203
