bhay and Binu both started walking, starting at the same time and at the same rate of 5 km per hour. Abhay walked on the boundary of a big circle and Binu walked on the boundary of a small circle and both these circles were having the same center. Abhay completed 5 circles, whereas Binu completed 9 circles after half an hour. After half an hour…..Single choice.

(1 Point)

a) Abhay has walked more than Binu, as he walked on the boundary of the bigger circle

b) Binu has walked more than Abhay, as he has walked more circles than Abhay

c) Both of them have walked the same distance in half an hour

If Abhay doubles his speed, then he would take 1 hour less than Sameer. Abhay's speed (in km/hr) is. Hence option (a) is correct as it Satisfies all the conditions.

d) With the information given above, we cannot say who walked more

the circumference of the circle is given as 2πr.

let the radius of big circle be R and small circle be r.

rate of walking= 5 km/hr

time taken is same

so at the end of 5 rounds, abhay would have walked more than binu as the radius of big circle is greater than the smaller circle. because according to the formula 2πr ( R>r).

but since binu has taken 9 circles with extra half an hour it cannot be said who walked more .

if the radius of the circles were given, then we would have find out that who covered more distance.

therefore, it cannot be said who covered the greater distance with the given information.
