The Bhiwani canal is a relatively small canal that originates from Western Yamuna Canal that Passes through Bhiwani district. Bhiwani was the largest district of haryana before partition. The water of Bhiwani canal is used to fulfill the agricultural requirements of Bhiwani district.

Western Yamuna Canal originated from Yamuna River. The Western Yamuna Canal has several major barrages and dams, like  Tajewala Barrage, somb river dam, Pathrala barrage etc.

The Bhiwani canal is a relativiliy small canal, compare to all big canals in India. It is actually a part of Big canal system of Bhakra Canal. For now Bhiwani canal is used to supply water to the Bhiwani district of Haaryana in Northeren part of India. Bhiwani canal water is mostly used for agriculture purpose and also to feed the people of Bhiwani district.
