Bholi’s teacher helped to change the direction of Bholi’s life. The teacher gave her a lot love and affection and filled her mind with hope. She helped her to gain confidence and faith in herself. She told Bholi to cast away all her fears. It was due to her guidance that Bholi developed her personality. Bholi could now face all the problems of life with courage and confidence.
Towards the end Bholi was called by her real name, Sulekha as she had grown wiser and more self confident due to her education and her teacher’s training. She proved that education was like a philosopher’s stone which could turn a base metal into gold.
