Answer:

Ans.26562.50

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the money available with Bhupinder = x  Rupees

Money given to her Daughter = 60% of x = 60x/100=6x/10

Remaining amount = x-6x/10   = (10x  - 6x)/10=4x/10

20% of the remaining amount is given to her son and the rest is distributed equaly in her grandchildren.

The rest means 80% of the remaining amount is distributed equaly in her grandchildren.

i.e.80% of 4x/10=80/100 X 4x/10=8x/25

∴ Amount received by both grandchildren = 80% of Remaining Amount i.e.8x/25

Amount received by each grandchild = 4250 (given)

There are two grandchildren so total amount received by two grandchildren = 2 X 4250 = 8500

So,8x/25=8500

8x=8500 X 25

x=(8500 X 25)/8=1062.50 X 25=26562.50

money available with Bhupinder = x  Rupees=26562.50 Rupees

Ans.26562.50
