The induced voltage in case of DC motor is called Back EMF.

Since the armature conductors are rotating under the influence of magnetic flux hence they cut the flux of magnetic field. Hence according to law of electromagnetic induction voltage is also induced in the armature coils whose direction can be given by Fleming's right hand rule.

The direction of the induces emf is opposite to the applied voltage. Thereby the emf is known as the counter emf or back EMF. This is in accordance of Lenz law i.e. the direction of the induced emf is such that it opposes it's cause which is the applied voltage.

BACK EMF :

The induced voltage in case of DC motor is called Back EMF. Back emf is nothing but the induced voltage in a DC motor. Whenever the armature of a DC motor is rotating, a small voltage gets induced in the conductors. This is because the conductors move through a magnetic field. Note that the direction of this induced emf is opposite to the applied voltage.
