Then he travels x*3/4 by train
x*1/8 by car 
x*1/12 by cart
total journey covered=3x/4+x/8+x/12
                                  =(3x*6+x*3+x*2)/24
                                  = 23x/24
reamaining journey=x-23x/24
                              = x/24
x/24=4km
x=4*24km
x=96Km
