Let price of each charger without sales tax = Rs. 100x

Number of chargers Bill bought = y

Then total price when sales tax is not applied

= Rs. 100xy

Now 5% sales tax is added to every purchase

So after sales tax price of each charger

= Rs. 105x

Then total price when sales tax is applied

= Rs. 105xy

Again price of 3 charger without sales tax

= Rs. 300x

So by the given condition

105xy - 100xy = 300x

⇒ 5xy = 300x

⇒ y = 60

FINAL ANSWER

The number of chargers Bill bought = 60
