INTRODUCTION

This chapter provides an assessment of the impacts of the proposed development in

question on the ecological environment, i.e. flora and fauna. It has been compiled in

compliance with the European Communities Legal requirements and follows

Guidelines on the Information to be contained in Environmental Impact Statements

(Environmental Protection Agency, 2002) and Advice Notes on Current Practice in the

preparation of EIS (2003) as well as Revised Guidance and Advice (Draft - 2015). This
