Biogas is totally a green fuel. It is made from solid biomass or organic waste and is fermented
by bacteria. How will you convince someone who thinks otherwise by explaining biogas
generation in four steps?

In the process of generating biogas cow-dung & water are mixed in equal proportions in the mixing tank to prepare slurry. This slurry of dung & water is fed into the digester tank through the inlet chamber. The digester tank is filled with slurry up to the cylindrical level the dome being free for the collection of biogas. It takes 50-60 days for the new gas plant to become operative. During this period the cow-dung undergoes degradation by anaerobic bacteria in presence of water with the gradual evolution of biogas. This biogas starts collecting in the dome.
