Sarojini Naidu, called the 'Nightingale of India', was a freedom fighter and a part of all the independence movements. She used to write very good poetry which earned her the sobriquet ‘Nightingale of India.’ She was respected by Gandhiji and represented him in various countries.
She went on to become the 'first woman President' of the 'Indian National Congress' in 1925.
She was born in '1879' in 'Hyderabad' and was educated at Cambridge. She spoke against the atrocities to women like child marriage and soon became a powerful public speaker.
She took an active part in the freedom struggle and she was the 'first woman' to become the 'governor' of Uttar Pradesh in free India.
