the brain is divided into three parts the fore brain, the mid brain and the hind brain
the fore brain contains the cerebrum which controls all the voluntary actions of the brain like writing, reading, memory, thinking, etc it is the thinking part of the brain
the mid brain connects the fore brain to the hind brain
it contains the hypothalamus and the pituitary gland
the hypothalamus releases the major hormones in the body and induces the pituitary gland while the pituitary gland releases the growth hormone in the body
the hind brain contains the cerebellum, medulla oblongata and pons.
activities like walking in a straight line, riding a bicycle, etc are possible because of the cerebellum.
the involuntary actions like vomiting, salivation, etc are controlled by the medulla oblongata.
the pons control respiration

hope it was helpful
