Birds do not get electrocuted while sitting on live transmission wires then why sometimes birds are found dead hanging on the wires ?

when birds sit on live transmission wires that time they sit on the nails of the clause which does not conduct electricity but some times it touches their body by mistake thus they are found dead hanging on the wires
