ರ೦ಗನತಿಟ್ಟು ಪಕ್ಷಿಧಾಮ (Ranganthittu Bird Sanctuary) ಇದನ್ನು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಪಕ್ಷಿಕಾಶಿ ಎ೦ದೂ ಕರೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ.[೧] ಇದು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯದ, ಮಂಡ್ಯ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದು ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಅತಿದೊಡ್ಡ ಪಕ್ಷಿಧಾಮವಾಗಿದೆ.[೨] ಕೇವಲ 0.67 ಚದುರ ಕಿಲೋಮೀಟರ್ ವಿಸ್ತೀರ್ಣದ  ಅಂದರೆ ಸುಮಾರು 40 ಎಕರೆ ವಿಸ್ತೀರ್ಣದ [೩] ಈ ಧಾಮ ಕಾವೇರಿ ನದಿಯ ಆರು ಚಿಕ್ಕ ದ್ವೀಪ ಸಮೂಹಗಳನ್ನೊಳ ಗೊ೦ಡಿದೆ. .[೪] ರ೦ಗನತಿಟ್ಟು ಚರಿತ್ರಾಳ ಪಟ್ಟಣವಾದ ಶ್ರೀರ೦ಗಪಟ್ಟಣದಿ೦ದ ಮೂರು ಕಿ.ಮೀ ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೈಸೂರಿನಿಂದ ೧೬ ಕಿ.ಮಿ ಉತ್ತರದಲ್ಲಿದೆ [೫] 2011-12 ನೇ ಸಾಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ 2.90 ಲಕ್ಷ ಪ್ರವಾಸಿಗರನ್ನು ಆಕರ್ಷಿಸಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಗಮನಿಸಿದರೆ ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದರ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಯಬಹುದು.[೬]

There are 685 species of birds in Canada. Two species have been added recently. Out of the 685, 217 birds are said to be accidental. This means that Canada is not their natural habitat. 11 species of birds happened to introduced in a direct way to Canada or North America. Four of the species have been extirpated and 3 of them are extinct, telling us that they no longer exist. Birds  of Canada mostly resemble the birds of Eurasia.
