This lesson is about to understand indian classicial instrument shehnai.Ustad Bismillah Khan was the master player of shehnai.Shehnai had replaced pungi because it has shrill voice.Bismillah khan took an interest in music at the agr of 3 years along with his maternal uncle.He used to sing Chiata in biharji temple.Bismillah khan got his first big break in Lucknow in 1938.He also gave music in 2 movies Gunj Uthi shehnai and Sanadhi Apanna He was fond of his mother land Bananras and holy river of ganga.In 2001 he got the highest civilisation award.
