Bittu spends one-third of the money with him on books one fourth of the remaining on food and two fifth of the remaining on travel now he is left with 450 rupees how much money did he have in the beginning

Let the total money be 'x'.

now money spent on the books = x/3

money spent on food= x/4

money spent on travel= 2x/5

now the total money spent= x/3 + x/4 + 2x/5 = 59x/60

show the remaining money = x - 59x/60 = x/60

now, the money left = 450

so x/60 = 450

→ x = 27000

So that total money the Bittu had in the beginning was 27000.
