Hii Mate

Thanks For Asking Such Question

I Think My Answer Is Correct And Helpful

If black is a colour, white is a colour then why black & white television is not a colour T.V?

Actually black and white aren’t really colors.

Black equals all colors mixed together — which makes it

I messed up on this answer and got it backwards (as reflected in a comment)

Black is really a “nul” color - it is the absence of color
White is the sum of all color (thus it’s white).

This is according to color theory and it’s a subject my photographer/ Professor of Photography husband has taught.

Black & white TV is actually not black and white since nothing on the screen is true white nor are the blacks really black except in some cases. They are lighter and darker shades of grey.

The same theory applies to black and white.

The answer:

 Black is not a colour;

a black object absorbs all the colours of the visible spectrum and reflects none of them to the eyes.
