Black soil is very much argillaceous and it is quite fine and dark in nature. It has high levels of magnesium carbonates and calcium.
This means that the soil is actually very clingy of moisture and excessively sticky when it is wet.
When it comes to cotton, black soil is therefore very suitable for its growth.
Apart from cotton other crops like wheat, jowar, tobacco too flavors it's growth.
