bleeding from a cut immideatly can be stop by applying ferric chloride.why it is so?

The blood consists of the negatively charged colloidal particles like albuminoid particles and the ferric chloride is positively charged. When ferric chloride solution is applied on wound the colloidal particles surround the solution and form a clot. This causes coagulation of the blood,  which stops further bleeding.
