blood contains many anticlotting agents like Vitamin K and proteins like heparin etc. hence it does not get clotted in blood vessels....but when it comes in contact with air....the protein fibrin polymerizes to form fibrinogen protein (insoluble in water) which performs the function of making blood clotted...

Answer:

Blood proteins, prothrombin and fibrinogen do not form blood clot inside blood vessels as these are in inactive form due to the presence of anticoagulant heparin. At the injury, these are activated by thrombokinase enzymes of bloods platelets.
