Answer :-

Let's first find factors of 35 :-

Factors of 35 = 1 , 5 , 7 , 35

So, if a number is increased 8, it should be any of the factors of 35, so that the number is divisible.

Let's suppose the number is x -

x + 8 should be either 1 , 5 , 7 or 35

→ x + 8 = 1 is not possible as we will get negative value of x.

→ x + 8 = 5 is also not possible.

→ x + 8 = 7 is also not possible

→ x + 8 = 35 is possible

→ x = 35 - 8

→ x = 27

So, the number is 27

Remainder when 27 is divided by 5 = 2

Required answer = 2 ( option A )
