boiled rice on crushing give starch test whereas boiled and chewed rice does not give starch test . explain​

Explanation:

this is because the salivary glands in our mouth secrete salivary amylase. When t food enters our mouth, salivary amylase converts statch to sugar. Hence, chewed rice does not show presence of starch.

This is because our salvia contains amylase also called patyalin which breaks down the starch into simpler substance (maltose)
